IBEW Credit Cards will work normally during this time. Transition to Carter Credit Union Cards will occur later in September.

The transition to Carter Credit Union’s system will begin on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at 5:00 P.M. and will continue through Friday, September 1, 2023 at 11:00 A.M.
Take care of special transactions before the transition dates:
The Fort Worth Branch will be closed on Thursday, August 31, 2023. Please visit the branch prior to the closure for any special in-branch transactions. Debit cards will be taken offline at 5:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 30, 2023. During this time debit card usage will not be available and cards will not work. Please withdraw extra cash you might need during this period.
We understand that this change will come with some temporary inconveniences and delays. In the days leading up to – and following – the transition, we ask for your patience as we expect to receive higher-than-normal telephone calls and inquiries.

Yes. The Fort Worth branch will be closed on Thursday, August 31, 2023 and will reopen at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, September 1, 2023.
Access to online banking on the IBEW 116 website will be disconnected at 5:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 30, 2023. You can register for Online and Mobile Banking on Friday, September 1st at 11:00 A.M. Please use this link to register. You must have an email on file prior to registering. For issues or help with registering you can call us at 800-367-5026.

Members will need to keep using their IBEW debit Mastercard until 5:00 P.M. on August 30th. On September 1st, members can then transition over to their new Carter Credit Union debit card. Your new Carter Credit Union debit card will be mailed to you in August, but will not be available for use until September 1st. If you have lost or misplaced your new Carter debit card you can visit the Fort Worth Branch on September 1st for instant issue of a new card.
Yes. Your current checks will continue to process normally until December 1, 2023. Please plan to bring in your old books to the Fort Worth Branch and we will order you complimentary replacement books. If you order checks from third parties such as checks.com, please reach out to confirm the correct routing and account information.
Yes. Any ACH automatic deposits or automatic withdrawals you currently have set up will process as normal. Any new direct deposits will need to use Carter’s routing number, 311175983.
Payments will process as normal.
No but you may request it at anytime or you can print it out prior to the transition from IBEW’s online banking system.
Most member numbers will remain the same, however; you will no longer need to add the dot/period before the last two digits of your member number. There are a few members whose member numbers will change, and we will reach out to those individuals directly.
Yes. You can view these on Carter’s Online Banking platform, monthly statement or reach out to a Carter representative.
