Full Job Description

Responsible for receiving, reviewing, and evaluating business loan requests. Meets with applicants to explain credit policies and to obtain loan information and documentation. Monitors and reviews construction and development loans. Maintains repossessed properties and assists in collections' activities. Serves borrowers and prospective borrowers promptly and professionally. Provides general credit union information and cross sells services. Assists Business Lending personnel as needed.

  • 1. Assumes responsibility for the effective and professional completion of assigned business loan functions.
    • Interviews, takes applications, and processes preliminary documentation on business loan requests. Discuss loan alternatives, credit criteria, interest rates, and loan documentation in such a manner as to elicit positive responses from customers.
    • Analyzes and evaluates loan requests and prepares written submission for consideration by the Business Loan Committee. Identifies problems or potential problems with credit information and coordinates with the necessary party to resolve the problems.
    • Assists in review of construction loan advances on commercial properties.
    • Conducts property inspections as assigned.
    • Follows-up on all matured loans.
    • Assists in the collection of delinquent accounts.
    • Completes lending functions in accordance with established credit union policies and legal requirements.
  • Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective and professional business relations with customers and trade professionals.
    • Answer questions and resolves requests.
    • Keeps borrowers informed of credit union loan policies and services.
    • Meets with applicants whose loans are denied and explains reasons and alternatives.
    • Maintains and projects the credit union’s professional reputation.
  • Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective communication, coordination, and working relations with Company personnel and with management.
    • Coordinates functions with related departments and branches and provides support as needed.
    • Assists Business Lending personnel and provides support as needed.
    • Keeps management informed of area activities and of any significant problems.
    • Attends and participates in meetings and committees as required.
    • Completes required reports and records.
  • Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.
    • Cross sells credit union services.
    • Stays informed regarding changes in lending standards and related legal requirements.
    • Completes special projects as assigned.
    • Ensures the work area is clean, secure, and well maintained.
    • Uphold and follow the Carter Credit Union core values.
    • Have a working knowledge and understand the Carter Credit Union MBS policies and procedures, credit union bylaws organization and philosophy.
    • Seek opportunities to enhance skills and value to the credit union and make suggestions for improvement.
    • Ensure adherence with the Bank Secrecy Act/Anti Money Laundering guidelines including CTR and SAR.

Full Job Description

The Branch Concierge is responsible for managing and directing branch traffic flow, proactively engaging members, and bringing the Carter Brand to life. This role identifies service and product needs. This role acts as the first touch point and is expected to assist and provide members with their inquiries in an accurate, professional, and timely manner. The role is expected to provide members and potential members with an exceptional experience during the visit.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

  • Manages lobby traffic as well as assisting members with ITM transactions and the internet cafĂ©
  • Creates an outstanding experience through great conversations with members and potential members. Greets internal and external members with prompt, efficient courteous and professional service
  • Maintains the lobby area and ensures supplies are adequately stocked.
  • Ensure member areas are actively utilized, functional, clean, and well organized.
  • Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of and educates members on self-serve conveniences including online banking, bill pay, ITMs, mobile deposit, etc.
  • Assists members with non-lending products and services offered by Carter Credit Union. These include but not limited to checking, savings, money market, CDs, IRAs, bill pay, all gift/travel cards, safe deposit boxes and debit cards.
  • Identifies member's spoken and unspoken needs. Effectively recommends appropriate products and services to meet those needs.
  • Initiative to develop and apply sales and service skills
  • Ability to serve as the Safe Deposit Box Custodian, handle inquires and help members access boxes
  • Ability to assist members with their accounts on the lobby iPads.
  • Maintains a thorough knowledge of all primary deposit and lending products and services. Cross-sell products and educate members on the use of remote services.
  • Ability to assist in balancing the ITMs.
  • Ability to assist with night drop deposits and vault verifications.
  • Interact with diverse members and colleagues
  • Work in a busy, commercial and target-driven environment
  • Assist in any area as directed by supervisor
  • Seek opportunities to enhance skills and value to the credit union and make suggestions for improvement.
  • Have a working knowledge and understanding of CFCU’s operational policies and procedures, bylaws, organization and philosophy.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate in the English language; ability to exercise confidentiality and good judgement
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to analyze and identify member needs, and the ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Willingness to be observed, coached and trained
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment'
