- No purchase necessary to enter or to win. Each entry will have an equal chance of winning. Making a purchase will not increase your odds of winning. All federal, state, local and municipal laws and regulations apply. This promotion is not open to residents of New York or Rhode Island and anywhere the promotion is prohibited by law.
- Eligibility. Subject to the additional restrictions below, the Carter Credit Union “Carter 250 Celebration” Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) is open to individuals 18 years of age or older on the date of entry, as shown on a valid driver's license or other means of identification issued by a U.S. federal or state agency, indicating the individual’s residential address. Employees of Carter Credit Union and the immediate family members of, and any persons domiciled with, and such employees, are not eligible to enter or to win. The term “immediate family members” includes spouses, parents, grandparents, siblings, children and grandchildren.
- How to enter. The Sweepstakes will begin on January 5, 2026 and ends on June 28, 2026 (the “Sweepstakes Period”). Eligible members that spend $250.00 or more per week posted and cleared transactions on their Carter debit and/or credit or a combination of both will be placed in a drawing weekly with the chance to win $250.00. If a member spends $500.00 in that week their name will go into the sweepstakes twice.For each $250.00 a member spends that is posted and cleared the member get an entry into the drawing during the Sweepstakes Period receive one entry into the Sweepstakes. Each weekly period starts on Monday at 12:01 am. A no purchase necessary entry must consist of a postcard or letter with the entrant’s Full name, Mailing address, Phone number, Email address, the specific week you are entering (e.g., “Week of Jan. 5, 2026-June 28, 2026”) into the Sweepstakes mailed to Carter Credit Union Attn: Carter 250 Celebration Attn: Sweepstakes Entry 8988 Ellerbe Road Shreveport, LA71106. Limit one entry per envelope.
Carter Credit Union will not be responsible for incomplete, lost, late, misdirected or illegible entries or for failure to receive entries due to transmission failures or technical failures of any kind. All entries become property of Carter Credit Union and none will be returned.
- Prizes and Odds.Twenty-five weekly prizes of $250.00 per week. One (1) Grand Prize Winner will receive $25,000.00. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period.
- Winner Notification and Acceptance. Each winner will be selected in a random drawing on or about Thursday of each week during the sweepstakes and the Grand Prize winner on or about July 3, 2026, under the supervision of the Sponsor, at the Credit Union’s Corporate Offices located at 8988 Ellerbe Road Shreveport, LA71106, from entries during the Sweepstakes Period.Each Winner will be notified by communication via the contact information provided to the credit union.Each winner must claim the prize within ten (10) business days after notification. If a prize is unclaimed within ten (10) calendar days after notification is sent, the prize will be forfeited, and a new winner will be drawn. Each Winner must comply with these Official Rules or will be disqualified. Each Winner’s accounts with the Credit Union (if any) must be in good standing. If a Winner’s accounts are not in good standing, the Credit Union may require the accounts to be brought into good standing prior to awarding the prize. The Credit Union reserves the right to determine the identity and eligibility of the Winners in its sole discretion in accordance with these rules.
- You need not be present to win.
- Prize Requirements. Failure of any Winner to timely acknowledge Carter Credit Union’s terms or conditions of these Official Rules, will result in drawing Winner’s disqualification and the forfeiture of his or her interest in the prize. Winners may waive their right to receive prizes. Prizes are non-assignable and nontransferable. No substitutions allowed by winner. Prizes and individual components of prize packages are subject to availability and Carter Credit Union reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value. The Credit Union is not responsible for the condition of any prize and makes no warranties or representations whatsoever concerning the prizes or prize values. If the actual value of a prize is less than the stated value, the difference will not be awarded. Prizes are not redeemable for cash or transferable. Prizes cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion or offer.
- Taxes. All federal, state, and local taxes associated with the receipt or use of the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner. A Form 1099 will be issued if required by law. Prizes not won and claimed by eligible winners in accordance with these Official Rules will not be awarded and will remain the property of Carter Credit Union.
- Participation. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sweepstakes. Carter Credit Union reserves the right to disqualify persons found tampering with or otherwise abusing any aspect of this Sweepstakes as solely determined by Carter Credit Union. In the event the Sweepstakes is compromised by a virus, non-authorized human intervention, tampering or other causes beyond the reasonable control of Carter Credit Union which corrupts or impairs the administration, security, fairness or proper operation of the Sweepstakes, Carter Credit Union reserves the right in its sole discretion to suspend the Sweepstakes. Should the Sweepstakes be terminated prior to the stated expiration date, Carter Credit Union reserves the right to award prizes based on the entries received before the termination date. By entering, each entrant (and if the entrant is under 18 years of age, the entrant's parent or legal guardian) agrees: (i) to be bound by these Official Rules, the decisions of Sponsor (which shall be final and binding in all respects) and Sponsor’s Privacy Statement (ii) to release and hold harmless Sponsor, its affiliated companies from and of any and all liability for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind arising from their participation in the Sweepstakes and/or the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of the Prize; and (iii) except where prohibited by law, acceptance of a Prize shall constitute and signify the Prize winner's (consent that Sponsor may use the winner’s first and last name, city of residence, likeness, image, voice, photographs and written statements made by the Prize winner, the Prize and about Sponsor for promotional purposes in all forms of media including photographs, may be published in the Credit Union’s marketing materials, including newspaper ads and social media such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, without additional compensation or permission,, in perpetuity, without payment or consideration.
- Consent. By participating in this promotion, winner consents in accordance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (47 U.S.C. § 227), to the Credit Union contacting the telephone numbers and email addresses provided by the participant, using natural or artificial voice calls, automatically dialed calls, prerecorded messages, text messages and any other electronic media. This consent is not required as a condition of purchasing any property, goods, or services; this consent may be revoked.
- Liability. In no event will the Carter Credit Union be responsible or liable for any damages or losses of any kind, including without limitation direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages. Without limiting the foregoing, the Sweepstakes, all Prizes, and all materials provided on or through the Sweepstakes are provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including without limitation the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringementBy entering, participants agree to release and hold harmless Carter Credit Union, and its employees, officers, directors, agents, and representatives from any claim, liability, or damage arising from participation in this Sweepstakes or the acceptance or use of any prize.
- Binding Arbitration, Class Action Waiver, Jury Waiver.If you are a member of the Credit Union, the Credit Union’s terms and conditions of your account apply to this promotion and are incorporated herein by reference, including the provisions related to arbitration and waiver of class action and jury trial.If you are not a member of the Credit Union or if the Credit Union elects instead to proceed under the terms of this paragraph, then this paragraph will apply. You agree to attempt to informally settle any disputes or causes of action arising out of or connected with this promotion or any prizes awarded. If informal attempts do not succeed, you agree that upon the election of either you or the Credit Union any claim or dispute or cause of action arising out of or connected with this promotion will be resolved by BINDING ARBITRATION administered by the American Arbitration Association or JAMS, in accordance with its Arbitration Rules. As a result, you will GIVE UP YOUR RIGHT TO GO TO COURT to assert or defend your rights under these Official Rules (EXCEPT for matters within SMALL CLAIMS COURT jurisdiction). You acknowledge that by agreeing to BINDING ARBITRATION you understand and agree to the following terms:Your rights will be determined by a NEUTRAL ARBITRATOR and NOT a judge or jury. You understand and agree that YOU ARE WAIVING THE RIGHT TO A TRIAL BY JURY.
ARBITRATORS can award the same REMEDIES including DAMAGES that a COURT can award. Any ARBITRATION under these Official Rules WILL BE ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS. You understand and agree that YOU ARE WAIVING THE RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE AS A CLASS REPRESENTATIVE OR CLASS MEMBER IN A CLASS ACTION.
The PLACE OF ARBITRATION shall be in the federal district WHERE YOU RESIDE.
WE WILL REIMBURSE YOU FOR ANY FILING, ADMINISTRATION, AND ARBITRATOR FEES as imposed by the American Arbitration Association or JAMS. However, if the arbitrator determines that YOUR CLAIM IS FRIVOLOUS, UNWARRANTED, OR BROUGHT FOR AN IMPROPER PURPOSE (in accordance with the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure Section 11(b)) YOU WILL RETURN TO US ANY FILING, ADMINISTRATION, AND ARBITRATOR FEES WE PAID.
If YOU PREVAIL on the merits of your claim in arbitration, WE WILL PAY YOUR ATTORNEYS' FEES. You will NOT be required to pay OUR ATTORNEYS' FEES IF WE PREVAIL.

- Choice of Law. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation, and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of entrant and the Credit Union in connection with the promotion, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the substantive laws of the State of Louisiana, USA, without regard to choice of law rules.
